• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

HD'd all new Soft Tail lineup

Very nice stuff.:bowdown: And would you believe.....BMW has come out with a 1600 CC Cruiser. Built on the GT platform--but decked out in cruiser amenities. Rider Magazine reviewed it in the November edition. It got a good review. $19, 995 --$24,995 if you want more bells & whistles.

Thanks....

Always good to see what others are doing...:bowdown:hey are getting better...

Visited a friend today who just got a new HD 3wheeler. Says he has enough power to lift the front wheel off the ground. Getting about 35-40 MPG. About the same as Spyder. He had one of the first HD trikes 4 or 5 years ago and had a hard time keeping up with us (Goldwings). No problem now.

I hadn't heard about that, so I googled it. Ewwwww! :barf: Worse: the seat height is 31" -- I have a 30" inseam. That's no low rider.

I rode BMWs for 32 years. I don't like where they've gone. I think the auto side of BMW has infected the bike side. As a result, they forget that which made them renown: light weight and super simplicity. Some time during the '90s, BMW decided they needed to get into the superbike arena, and the result was super-complex machines.

When I was looking for a new machine in 2014, before I bought my RT-S, I was seriously considering a Ural sidecar rig. Ural has made impressive strides in quality and reliability, and their machine are pretty much what BMW was in the '70s: a simple airhead design that most anybody can wrench.

It's getting to be quite awhile since H-D has had more than a couple bikes that were decent looking. I'm not liking much of what I see from them anymore. The retro look just doesn't do it for me.

Yep! People will either like or dislike the new BMW Cruiser. They offer an optional 29" high seat at no extra cost. Still about 2" to high for me to put the feet on the floor. Five years earlier, and I might have jumped on one. Very happy with my Vulcan 900 LT recently purchased.

RE: Ural: A very cool looking rig. The new colors--cool. Not very good for highway riding--as in 65 +. A great secondary or rough road machine though.
