There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hazing Headlights

I have a 2015 RT. Both headlights lenses are hazing from the inside of the headlight. This is not moisture as the hazing is still on the inside of the headlight even after riding all day.

Anyone else run into this problem? If so, what was the fix?

We have a '14 RTL and it has 19K on it and the headlights are just as clear as the day we picked it up from the dealer. Maybe check to see if there is a BRP bulletin/recall on them?? Maybe the gaskets are bad and it allows some moisture to compromise the lights just enough to were you don't see actual moisture droplets, but enough to cause the hazing:dontknow:??. About the best I can do for you at this time. Hope you get it figured out. Mac:doorag:

Hazing on the inside? That's a new one. You sure? Could there still be some protective film on them that needs removed? Mine are just as clear as new, also. You under extended warranty of any sorts? You'll be hard pressed to do any polishing on the inside.

I thought mine had a little haze also. Wife even commented on it. I looked at a brand new, just out of the crate Spyder and the headlights looked exactly like mine. I think it is more the finish inside the light. They have a dull aluminum finish. The fog lights have a polished surface area directly in front of the bulbs but then transitions to the dull finish towards the front. And, I don't think I will keep the OEM bulbs when one goes out.... Will probably upgrade to LEDs.

i had mine replaced once under warranty. the new ones are doing the same.
seems to be right in front of the bulb area.

I had the same problem on my previous 2010 RT
I upgraded to a 2015 RT and the headlight had started to haze over
It starts just above the headlight and spreads along the front

I believe it’s the heat from the Halogen bulbs that the plastics can’t handle
(Just put your hand on the light cover after a run and you will feel the amount of heat)

I have posted a picture where you can just see some haze above the light a few months ago I changed the Halogen bulbs over to LED these run cooler with no heat the lights have not got any worse
Maybe a switch over to LEDs will solve the problem

Note :- Because we have our dipped beam as a separate light source - European spec
(They are fitted where you have the Fog lights)
These are the ones that get affected as our Main Headlights are only used when there is no oncoming traffic) so the build up of heat on them is short lived as our dipped beams are on all the time once the engine is running above 800 revs

I had that same issue. The lenses were replaced under warranty.
