We left our Arizona home for part of the summer, the Spyder was as usual stored in the garage. Now this was for May, June, July, and part of August.( garage temps can get around 100 during the day going down to 85 at night) When we got back I fired up the Spyder and decided to buy some gas. I decided not to fill the tank. After I closed everything up and started the engine I noticed a strong gas smell. Sure enough the Spyder was leaking gas under the unit. I decided that I might take it to the dealer so headed down the road. Stopped at a stoplight and the gas had just about stopped to a few drops. Drove further and it stopped altogether. Drove some more and no more gas. When I came home I told my wife the story and she said when I left there was a small spot of gas on the garage floor. Since parked the unit and no gas dripping. I have a feeling this all has to do with heat expansion in the gas tank but not totally sure. Anyone else experienced this problem?
