There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Anybody ever took one out for a test ride? My brother is thinking about one.

When I had my Victory Vision for sale, and was contemplating onto which method of three wheels I would go, I demoed the FreeWheeler and the TriGlide. I didn't like the way either one handled, although I will say I liked the feel of the Tri Glide a little more. Other's may have a different opinion than me (which is often the case here), but I felt like I was operating a farm impliment on both demos. It may be that I was not used to steering a three wheeled bike. But when I rode the Spyder, it was a completely different experience. It was love at first ride.

I've never been a Harley fan to begin with, so I may have been a bit jaded.

Please refresh my memory. The Freewheeler is a newer less expensive version of the Tri-Glide?

The standard versions of trike--IMO--all have the tendency to tip over when pushed to the limits on turns.

I tried Tri Glide when the RT first came out (2010). I could not get around how the ergo's did not fit me. The clutch pull was like a weight lifting exercise for me. And then he started it up. That was as far as I got.

The one I looked at was the base model--no chrome, no passenger backrest, no nothing. The dealer was also asking about a $5,000 mark up from MSRP--location fee adjustment, he said.

I went and bought my cheapo RT Premier Edition (think LTD now) for a measly $28K or so, and have never looked back.

I sat on one a few weeks ago. Not much storage. Has a warning on the inside of the trunk lid to not exceed the weight value or steering may be affected. Can't remember what that limit is. It's heavier than the RTS. I think somewhere around 1100 pounds but may be off by a pound or two. I did not drive it as the dealer didn't have one for demo. Only had three in stock. Think I'll stick with my Spyder.

97 % of the time you are turning in some fashion ......So why would you want to rely on one skinny tire to help you do that ..................and YOU of all people should be able to explain that !!!!!!!.................JMHO.....Mike

YUP he has no interest in the spyder.

Was at my dealer last Thursday to pick up the bags for my F3. They had this in the showroom. I so wanted to demo this beast. I love the Triumph Rocket III and this really peaked my interest. 2015 model. Traded for an RT LTD.

Yes and double yes! If I were in the market, that would be the one that I would opt for also. It comes with a full factory warranty and I am just guessing it may be a bit less clunky than the HD brands. Goldwing is another option--but no factory warranty and local dealer refuses to work on them. We do have a Triumph dealer.

All in the test ryde....

Has he test driven the models or going on looks, name and peer pressure..?? seems his mind is made up but we have seen this before. Depending on his driving history (bikes, trikes, quads etc) many have come back to the spyder or two wheeler or quit...:dontknow: hope its not a huge investment for him...how about renting..?? :roflblack:

:agree: with your assumptions above. A test drive on both or more should be done before the final decision is made. $30 grand is a lot to spend if you end up buying the wrong bike for you. To buy or reject something because of a peer pressure thing is not a good reason--IMO.

I think he might be test riding one tomorrow. It is a huge investment for him.

I've ridden one. They are OK. I liked the Freewheeler better than the tri-glide as the tri felt and handled like a bus. jmho..

The FreeWheeler is pretty, comfy, and goes down the road okay...

...If you don't push it!

But The torque of that Rocket III Trike...

I have only sat on the freewheeler; I like the clean lines on it. I would guess it is a straight line cruiser. In that sense, it's closest competition is the F3, not the RTS. But, the F3, would be a better machine to push the riding envelope vs. freewheeler.

I have a HD sportster, and it is more than good enough knock about on. When I get old enough and need 3 wheels, the freewheeler would replace the sportster.

If you think that the issue of heat, was a problem for the RTs...

These bikes are in a completely different zipcode! nojoke
Your right leg WILL get toasty!

That's the only issue that I had with them!

That bad Huh.....

 They DO get pretty darn warm...
I tried one out on a 75 degree day. By the time I was up the road about three-quarters of a mile, and hit the first stoplight; I knew that this was a great bike for Wintertime riding! :D
Now to be fair... I may be overly sensitive to this issue. We've heard a lot of grumbling about heat from the 2013 RT owners... this may have been on my mind. :opps:

Mine had lots of heat coming from around the glove box. Now since the recall there is no heat around the glove box actually feels like cool Air. But seems like a lot more heat coming from the bottom now. I guess the new scoops push the air down and out
