There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Handle bar shake

If you've got less than 600 miles on your Spyder and it's giving you the shakes, I'd stand on the chest of your service writer until they get it fixed! They should be all over that one.

:agree:
:agree::agree: and don't wear slippers! Put on something with some cleats and mud!

Handlebar shake

That's what I did and the problem was immediately solved. Rode the RT in, they removed and balanced the fronts and even put em back on $20.

Thanks for the info where did you take the wheels to be balanced I dropped in at NTB and the guy said they can't do it due to the 3 studs and not having a small spindle to mount the wheel, if the dealer can not get these wheels balanced then I need to do what you did so please let me know who you took it too, I live in Covington GA

I WOULD LIKE THAT INFO ALSO ( TIRE BALANCING ) MY DEALER SAID THEY COULDNT BALANCE THE FRONTS. NUMEROUS TIRE SHOPS IN MY AREA SAID THE SAME THING. THE ONLY WAY I FOUND WAS AN OLD BUBBLE BALANCER. NOT SURE HOW ACCURATE THAT WOULD BE FOR THE COMPUTER. THANX.

Handlebar shake

This is an update on my shaking handlebars, I went back to the dealership and asked them to re-check the balancing I left it for about an hour and then went back to see what they had done. I was told that my left front tire seems to be the problem and they were going to replace it......of course they did not have one in stock to do it then so I took my RT home and was told to come back ....AGAIN (4TH TIME) when they get the tire in. I got a call last night from the service manager saying how sorry he is that he did not have time to discuss this with me on Sat. but he feels that the tire is what could be causing the shake and it could take 2 to 3 days or a week if it comes from Canada.

But that won't help him if there is a broken or slipping belt in the tire. With as few miles as he has on this Spyder (bought on 7/28) he needs to work through BRP and the dealer to get this resolved.

.THANX FOR THE FEEDBACK. IT SURE SEEMS FUNNY THAT A DEALER THAT SELLS AND WORKS ON SPYDERS CANT PURCHASE A SMALLER SPINDLE TO BALANCE THE FRONT TIRES. STILL DONT HAVE THE HANG OF THESE SMILEY THINGS.

I don't believe he ever said that the dealer didn't work to balance his wheels. I deal with the same dealer and they definitely have wheel balancing equipment for all types of machines (2, 3 and 4 wheels). I think they have both static and dynamic equipment.

Update to my handle bar shaking, the Dealer took a serious look at the left tire tread and reported to me that it looks as if we have a bad tire and they will need to replace the tire, I was OK with that ...but...they did not have a tire in stock and would have to order one in for me, I was told this could take about a week to get in ...well OK what can one do to get to the bottom of this shaking I would have to wait.
The tire came in the following Saturday and I am pleased to say that the RT is much smother and had almost no shake just a slight cowling and fender shake at around 55 mph but did not shake the handle bars. I have not done an extended road test due to weather and other commitments and I will report back once I have done that.
On the Friday I picked up the RT I went to get gas and after filling the tank started the Spyder as normal but on pushing the parking brake button to release the park brake I felt a strange vibration through the foot brake ...then a bright orange flashing light on the screen warned me that I had a parking brake failure I turned the RT off waited a few minutes and restarted but as soon as I pushed the park switch the flashing warning came back on, I then drove on home with the flashing light warning me of a parking brake failure.
On Saturday morning early I went back to the dealership to get them to check this out they discovered that the park brake cable had pulled out of the brake control and on doing this had broken off a plastic lip that was supposed to stop this from happening, I give huge credit to the dealership as they helped me immediately and also took me to the back to show me exactly what had happened. They have to order in a new part to replace the damaged one and are going to let me know when it comes in.
I would like to give thanks to my Dealership as they have stayed committed and diligent to solving my shaking problem and now brake problem, they have been courteous and friendly throughout this ordeal and have made me feel comfortable that they would solve this no matter what it takes. ;)

Had my front wheels with original tires balanced at NTB. No more problems. They spin balanced them. They were so enchanted with the Spyder that they did not charge me anything. Chance of that ever happening again. Zero.

 Thanks for posting some good news around a bad situation; they really do seem to be working well on your behalf!

I had the same exact problem. Tried rebalancing the front tires even tried Ride-On but still had the shakes between 45-50mph. Ended up replacing the front tires which fixed the problem. I have over 5K miles on the fronts and still running smooth with even wear.
