• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Great another insurance rate hike.

Not sure what everyone else pays for insurance rates. For me it's about $800 for a driver season of April to October inclusive. That's already with a 20% good driver discount. They are talking about a 73% increase now.

Insurance..!!

I am paying about $700.00 a year. But then they consider the spyder in the car category. Much the same as they don't require a motorcycle license either. But the rates are going up. :gaah:

Rider Insurance

Try these folks. My Spyder dealer turned me onto them.
This is all they insure is bikes. My rates for the RT Limited is 366. per year. Yes, full coverage.

Find an agent that writes through American Reliable. I've been with them for 3 yrs. Annual premium on my RT
is $300, 300, 000 liability, $500 deductible comp & collision.

Insurance

I'm with nationwide, full coverage on my RT Limited is about 377. Got a quote from Foremost Insurance, full coverage about 373.

Dan, Pasadena, Md.

I'm in Canada as well & it costs $300 for full coverage to a private insurance company.

However, my driver's licence & registration also include insurance premiums with Quebec so who knows what the true total is.

Safeco

I have full coverage as well as uninsured driver. Dropped to $289 this year...$88 savings...works for me. Every year at this time I start "shopping"...so far nothing coming close...wow starting to see a few dirt spots on my icy driveway....I am soooooo ready to ryde...don't care that it is only 28'....just need to be able to get out of my driveway...nojoke

Hope they keep the 73% stuff elsewhere. That is a pretty bad hit to take.

Mine currently has not gone up--even with annual renewals taking place at this time.

Currently paying $648 for the 2010 RT-S and $708 for the 2011 RT A&C. State Farm--they also have my car and house. Full Coverage on both the :spyder2:,s

I should have mentioned, automobile insurance in SK is through a Crown Corp. We can't buy it through private corporations or shop around. We have to buy it as part of our government registration. For our neighbours from the south, it would be like having to buy your basic registration and insurance from your State's Government, and then we pay higher premiums to get lower deductibles and higher liabilities.

Does that insurance include health insurance, Or do you pay extra for that,:dontknow:

rates for my rts is about $1200.00 and that is from may 1 untill oct 31 our riding season, it is still covered in storage. also gov insurance

I'm $508 for 12 months with a $250 deductible and coverages of $100,000.
Thats with Allstate.

Rider was $50 more, for me.

Mine went down this year to $388. Getting a discount cause I took the GWRRA rider's trike class and the Spyder is a year older.

No. health insurance is different and through the Province as well, we supposedly don't have private health care in Canada, but we buy additional health benefits through private companies. There is a health care component and wage recovery component to auto/moto insurance. Plus and minuses to that. But we can't sue either. No fault insurance.

I'm paying $385.00 thru Progressive and that includes my RT full coverage & just liability on my 1978 SR500 Yamaha.

This is a game of pure frustration...
Without knowing more about your ages, sexes, driving records, years of motorcycle piloting experience, if you have any safety courses or not, exactly which model bike you have, the exact coverages that you're pricing, the rating territory in which you reside and how it compares to others, AND your State or Province's insurance regualations; it's just a number. :gaah:

It's a bit like looking through a keyhole at an elephant that has backed up against the door; what do you see? :dontknow:
Sorry!
