Grandpa Is The Guy With The White Beard!

Our daughter gave birth to our first grandchild Wednesday. Wednesday was actually her due date and we were worried, because a mean snowstaorm shut down the highways in and out of the city Wednesday morning, and she had to travel to a hospital in a town about 20 miles away for the delivery. Labor held off until the afternoon, however, and the roads were better by then...although it was rush hour. She had a short labor, and Jayden was born three hours after labor began. Mother and child are doing fine, and are at home now. Nancy was there for the delivery, while I was told to stay away. I worked at the new house all afternoon anyway, blowing snow so we could get in to get to work Thursday. I also worked at the house all day Thursday, but stopped at the hospital on the way home to see the family. As I was gazing at my grandson, and he seemed to be looking back, Nancy remarked, "Grandpa is the guy with the white beard."

Congratulations Grandpa!! I have 6 grandchildren and one Great granddaughter. Grandkids are wonderful. Spoil them and then send them home and let their parents do all of the hard work of parenting. Glad to hear that mom and grandson are here and all are well.
