• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. GPS and bluetooth

I am trying to find an inexpensive GPS that will bluetooth with my Sena SMH-10. Yes, I have searched and read through the forums, but I haven't found what I'm looking for. There are several units under $200 that are bluetooth, but appear they will only connect to a phone for wireless calls. The only ones I can find that specifically state they will bluetooth audio to a headset are ones made for motorcycle use. I don't care about having one that is waterproof or glove friendly and I don't want to spend $600 on one because I won't use it that often. I just want something inexpensive that will give me turn by turn directions through my headset.

Have to agree..!!

:agree: the smart phone is the way to go. Had the Garmin phone and worked well.

I also wanted a GPS to use with my Sena SMH10 set but was not about to fork over the huge sums to have a Zumo 660. I looked at the Garmin 765T and strongly considered it but I found a better solution, for me anyway. I had an old Droid X smart phone in a drawer. I bought a new battery for it and downloaded the NavFree USA app from the Google Play store. I then downloaded all the state maps that I wanted (also free) and now I have a full function GPS that does not require a cell connection (the phone is not even activated), I get turn by turn directions and it pairs up just fine to my Sena. I think I paid $7 for the new battery on eBay. I did spend $41 for Ram mounts and an X-grip so I can easily move it between bikes.

You can find old smart phones for cheap on Craigslist or most any other want-ad site. And even unactivated phones will call 911 if you don't have an activated cell phone with you.

I downloaded the app and tried it out on my way home today. Works pretty good. I had tried several other apps before deciding to just buy a gps, but I think this app will work. I even took a different route to make sure the app recalculated and it worked out just fine. Thanks for the great info! I think I have found my solution.

I've been looking at the Garmin 660 but I just can't justify paying that much for it.
Then I seen this post and looked at my current Garmin that I have. I thought mine was the 465 but it is actually the 765t. I read the manual and synced it with my Uclear. I have used several different apps on my iPhone. But in my opinion the Garmin has the apps beat. The apps are still a good way to go if you don't have anything at all. The app Waze is a really good one. It's like a social networking GPS where user can report accidents, traffic, and the police. You can even update a road if it's not on there or has changed. Hope this helps anyone as well. But thanks for starting this post or I would have overlooked my current Garmin that I have.
