• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Gotta love California....🏁🏁

This entire discussion is a moot point. LE in mexifornia whether state, county or city are all lacking the funds and manpower to address loud exhaust. Boom boxes and the loud thump thump irritating noises they produce are over ridden by the necessity to respond to crimes of a greater nature. Vehicle accidents, assaults, domestic violence, shootings and home invasions are constantly ongoing and require a higher degree of attention than an irritating noise ordnance. Wish it were not so, but that's the way it is.

I think the politicians are afraid to go after those that are at the root cause of many of those problems, ca. criminals vote

The law is causing other problems. We now have a number of Corvette owners in CA with factory exhaust that have gotten tickets. yes they will eventually get overturned but CA needs to be liable for the costs of criminal defense to get it corrected. The law is too vague and is outlawing vehicles that are certified for sale in CA. Its quickly becoming unenforceable and likely to get overturned in its entirety by the courts.

To get a noise violation ticket issued in NYC I needed a certified public official conduct a meter "reading".
I needed this for both motor vehicles and out of control private parties.
I was able to do this ZERO amount of times in my 20 years because a certified meter and reader were never available.
Apartment parties and not loud "drag" pipes were the most 911 called noise complaint.
All states and even townships are different....just look at the helmet laws.
