• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Due to recent surgery, I am not allowed t lift any thing over 5 lbs, which includes my Vision. So we (the wife and I) took her Spyder to dinner tonight. This is the first time I had ridden it in town.

Man some of these people looked at us, like we were ALIENS :yikes:. This one redneck fella almost lost his jaw when it hit the ground, as he went by us....It was too funny!!!

I'm guessing this is NORMAL for :spyder2: ryders??

Looks

Where in Knox. did this happen? :dontknow:

Redneck

Actually, it was in Lenoir City...(Loudon County) So the redneck statement is accurate!

What's a redneck Jo? You could have been talking about me. If it were me and I didn't like rednecks I would stay away from Loudon Co. :lecturef_smilie:

Welcome to our world! :D I was tickled pink to have the Spyder after my surgery last week. I rode the very next day. My doctor was kinder than yours, with a 10 pound restriction, but it is still not enough to lift my BMW onto the centerstand, or even tip it up from the sidestand, so I would have been justy as stranded. I suppose your wife will have to hide the keys now. I swiped my wife's Spyder so often after I rode it the first time, that she eventually made me buy one for myself. nojoke

If you have to ask what a redneck is, then your NOT one...I didn't say I didn't like rednecks, some of my best friends are rednecks. Hell, if I leave East TN most people think I'm a redneck...This guy was just your typical one, driving a beater car, looked like a few teeth were missing, and was wearing a wife beater t-shirt...

I didn't mention all the others that were checking out her Spyder, this was just one of many...We stopped at a redlight and I heard my wife talking through the intercom and what she was saying made no sense, I looked over this older gentlemen and what appeared to be his granddaughter were leaving out the window talking to my wife about her Spyder. Then there were a lot more, just thought it was funny as this was the first time I had ridden it locally to see all the stares and GASPING  people looking at her Spyder...

So the question is were you the passenger? That might have added to the strange looks. LOL:roflblack:

Being a female Spyder Ryder I get a lot of strange looks too, but mostly I get a lot of Thumbs up from other females in passing cars.....just makes me smile and move on....love my :spyder2:.
But I agree if you were the passenger, you may have gotten a few more looks then if you were the driver! :roflblack:

i know the feeling

there is a road i cruise frequently on cincinnati's east side, where LOT'S of people look at me like i'm from outer space. mouth's hanging open, awestruck, dazed and confused, so on and so forth. all part of the fun.[sometimes i give them a dose of NASCAR]

It's an odd day that we don't get our photo taken and lots of looks when we ride our Spyder. It's really weird when they pull next to you at stop signs/signals and start asking questions!!! --Paula
