• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Just wanted to introduce myself. I just bought my Spyder yesterday and I'm loving every minute of it. I had done a demo days in Daytona back in March and really wanted one but I had 3 bikes already so didn't think it was going to happen. Sold my Harley last weekend so down to 2 bikes. Wife wanted to get some new rain gear so we ran down to Ft. Myers this weekend and found 3 Spyders sitting at the dealer. So I traded my 08 KLR and rode home a yellow Spyder. :2thumbs:

welcome and :congrats: on the :spyder:

Glad you found us. Looks like you're in the right place weather wise for riding.:doorag:

Thanks for the welcome, I'm glad I found what appears to be a pretty active Spyder forum. Didn't see too much on a couple other places I checked out.

It was a fun shopping trip, I warned my wife ahead of time that if they had a Spyder where we were going I was liable to ride it home. Didn't think it would happen because I thought everyone had to order them. (The wife didn't find any new rain gear.)

Didn't lose out on the KLR either, first offer they gave me on trade was $3,000 I told them I would only take $4,500 and they agreed. (I only paid $5400 OTD in Feb for the KLR and had 4,700 miles on it) Also dropped the down payment they wanted and got the payment where I wanted it.

Sleepman,

She won't part with her V-strom, she's had a lot of bikes and likes the V-strom the best. Of course it's so nice to have a wife that rides that she can have whatever she wants. :2thumbs:
