• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Good info for those that travel and carry

Don't care where he's from or what kind of spin is being put on the direction in which he's dragging all of us... :gaah:
Sorry...I'll shut up now! :opps:

Just to clarify my statement about the president:
Immediately prior to being elected president, his "political life" was as an elected rep from Illinois. His wife, Michelle, was with a group of attorneys from Chicago.

To get back on topic, I've been asked why I carry a gun( I open carry at all times),my usual reponse is " because the police are to heavy to carry", if asked to explain furtherI just say, " it's a do-nut thing". Seriously I'm proud to live in a country that constituently allows me the freedom to own an bear arms. In this society we live in now, it seems to me if your not in the frame of mind to always be prepared for the unexpected, then you join the legions of sheeple.having lived 63 yrs without having to ever use more than my human force to defend my self or family or property, goood chance I'll make it to the end without needing a firearm. Remember that law enfocement in most circumstanses, can not respond to serve & protect, but to respond & investigate. So you yell for help, I yell " stop or I will shoot". Sorry for the rant, hope to meet a bunch of you folks in durango this summer, I'll be following my wife as she leads the way on her :spyder2:

New nail gun by DeWALT

it can drive a 16-D nail through a 2x4 at 200 yards.

This makes construction a breeze; you can sit in your lawn chair and build a fence.

Just get your wife to hold the fence boards in place while you sit back, and relax and when she has the board in the right place, just fire away.

With the hundred round magazine you can build the fence with a minimum of reloading. After a day of fence building with the new DeWALT Rapid fire nail gun, the wife will not ask you to build or fix anything else, probably, ever again.

I carry a Glock 23 and two spare mags. I compete with the Glock 35 & 22. Glock is the only company that puts on matches across the country. One in four will win something. I have won a Glock, money and an extension of my GSSF membership.
People either like or hate Glocks. Take it of the box, load it up, then put it in your holster. It's good to go. No break in needed.

I took a Glock Armours course several years ago out at Front Sight in NV. Glock also teaches a course for GSSF members. I haven't taken their course yet.

For a smaller pistol, I have a Sig P232 in .380 caliber.

It's funny; I like Glocks... but they just don't fit my paws! I can't shoot them worth a :cus:! :gaah:
A funny story about them...
In the Mid-Eighties the NYSP were switching from S&W revolvers over the Glock 17s... One of my Hunting buddies iwas a Trooper, and he held a "Shooting Day" up at his range... All of the Troopers showed up with their new sidearms and we were happily blasting away at the B-27 targets at 12 yards..
Unfortunately... Most of them couldn't hit the broad side of a barn if they were locked in it with all the doors and windows boarded over!
My Missus steps up with her 19...(Compact model) and puts a magazine-full dead center: K-5!
As the Troopers stood there dumbfounded, she just said, "Well you guys get paid to shoot... I LIKE to shoot!" :roflblack:

A tale to share

Last year when on one of my trips stopped to fuel up--and as you know let a Spyder stop and at least one person is headed your way (which I love--people, Spyders AND talking)..anyway there was just something about this dude that made my internal system go ALERT...no ? about Spyder lots of ? about my ryding alone. So I finally said "Sir I never ryde alone"...he looks around says where are your companions. I answer," I ALWAYS travel with God, Smith & Wesson...is there one of them you would like to meet"? Hmmm seems he understood what I said...he was gone instantly.
