• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Good cooler for side compartment

 At what temperature does Beer freeze, and how does it taste when it thaws out?

Beer freezes at:

°C = -0.42(ABW%) + 0.04(OG[as °Plato]) + 0.2

So a 1.0508 OG (15.53 °Plato), 4.95% alcohol by weight beer will freeze at

-0.42(4.95) + 0.04(15.53) + 0.2 = -1.26°C or about 29.73°F

A much stronger beer of 21.84°P and 7.18% ABW will yield a slightly lower freezing point of -1.94°C or 28.51°F

Not sure how it will taste

Mylar Emergency Blanket - Another Use

Normally used as part of a first aid kit, a Mylar emergency blanket proved to be a great resource to wrap cold items and keep them cool for hours in 75 degree heat.

My insulated double wall stainless steel growler works for me. It fits nicely in the frunk and I don't have to worry about anything breaking.

RTIC was putting a hurt on Yeti

i saw yeti at ace hardware yesterday, why is all their stuff very very expensive compared to other coolers & tumblers?

RTIC is made in Texas by two brothers who made their fortune in shipping. They were selling RTIC at a lower price than Yeti for the same product because they (RTIC) knew how to ship in bulk. Last I heard Yeti filed a bunch of lawsuits
