There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. When I went to attach the Driver Helmet Connector Harness to the DIN Connector; the DIN Connector went through the hole. I am a new owner who is just learning were things are on the Spyder. I found the CB instructions & have removed the side panels, etc off the Spyder but can't seem to figure out how to remove the glove box to get at the Connector. Need your help guys ! Thanks Barry

Heated Switch

I tried to pry up the Heated Switch & it seems very tight. Should both the black switch & the green plug pull straight out ? Hard to get at near the handlebar area for prying. HELP !

Heat Switch

Hi Roger;
I got the switch out before I read your email but in two pieces; the rocker 1st then the switch. I am able to get my one finger in the hole but can't seem to get the cap & ring on the DIN plug. Will keep trying.

DIN Plug Ring

Hey Roger !
Is there a special tool to tighten down the steel ring through the plastic cap to the DIN Plug? I need more fingers; trying to hold the plug underneath plus lift the cap & turn the ring onto the DIN plug. I'll have to buy you a Tim Horton's Coffee when this is all over.

DIN Plug Ring

Will give that a try tomorrow Roger; gotta watch Boston give Vancouver a rough time tonight ! Up 4 to 0 after 1st period.
Thanks again for the help. Barry

DIN Plug

Good Morning Roger !
I tried plugging in the cable throught the ring & plastic cap but there is no room to get at the ring. It appears I'm not getting the plug up far enough through the fairing where the switches are. Can the Suspension Plug be removed the same way as the Heated Grips? I may have to get at it from both sides to see if it will come further through the hole. Thanks again for your help.
Barry
ps: old pencil pusher trying to be a semi mechanic !

DIN Plug

Hi Roger !
Yes I tried screwing on the ring without the plastic cap/cover & it went on; so I'll try removing the Suspension swith; will keep you posted.
Barry

Yes!
I was going to suggest you try from the Suspension plug.
It puzzles me as to why the DIN plug fell through to begin with.
Are you sure the ring really will thread on to there?
That's what bothers me. I suspect it is damaged, and needs to be replaced.

DIN Plug

Roger we are in Business!
I removed the Suspension Switch & was able to get more leverage on the plug to pull it up further. I am the 2nd owner of this Spyder ( 4000 kms)so I am suspicious that the CB was not installed properly (just a hunch). I just purchased this unit a couple of months ago & have been waiting for a call from a shop 2 hrs away for over 2 months on the recalls. When I purchased the bike my 1st trip out the bike quit on me. Engine light was on; had a goldwing mechanic come to see it & he found one of the spark plugs was only finger tight but both were fouled; so this week will be my 1st time since I bought it that I can learn how to drive it.
Anyway I really appreciate the help; & maybe we can hook up sometime for coffee, lunch, supper !
Thanks again Barry

Driver Helmet Connector Harness

Hi Roger & Scotty !
Just a follow up that the connector came off again when I was up at the dealer getting my engine light problem looked at. They suggested I try Radio Shack (The Source in Canada) to see if I can get a connector that has a steel fitting for the ring (plastic & steel don't mix) before ordering from BRP. The plastic thread on the Driver Connector is stripped.
Have a Great Summer Guys ! I hope I can get all my little problems fixed before my trip to Pigeon Forge, TN Sept 26th.
