• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Glove Box insert????

Glove box insert...

Will a Ruger LCP.380 or KelTec.380 fit in there along & your garage door opener with the foam insert?? Sounds and looks like a gr8 idea.
Len....:doorag:
I have one on my RT A/C. My Bersa .380 will only fit without the insert, but I'd be leary of putting it in there... considering how hot it gets.:gaah:

jan build RTS and no liner... so can someone confirm that if you order the liner it comes with insulation that is installed UNDER behind the glove box as well as the liner?

It helped quite a bit. You do lose some room, but before my phone got way too hot in there. Now I keep it in the rear trunk on longer rydes.

this maybe the better solution and line the underside with reflective heat tape instead.

My understanding was that the first PE RTs did not have this, but it was introduced part way through that model run. Your dealer may retrofit your Spyder under warranty, if you complain about the heat. There is more to this than the liner, there are additional insulation panels under the bodywork. I wouldn't mind those, but the glovebox is small enough as it is, so I don't want the inner liner. If PE #150 needs the insulation, I'll buy some.

Yes that's correct. I had the retrofit done.
Worthless. You need to understand heat transfer. The added insulation makes the glovebox take longer to heat up, but in my experience, it's only about 10 minutes. If you ride more than 20 minutes this is a worthless effort that just takes up space.

But that's just my opinion,I could be wrong.
I'm sure someone will point that out soon.

glovebox...

Glovebox? More like a "toaster oven". Good place to keep your Sausage McMuffin warm. ;)

Here's what I received from my dealer after emailing them with the part #.

Good morning Mr. Ray,
That item is available in about 2 days to us. The price is $31.99. it is described as "ENS MOUSSES *FOAM KIT" so it is
most likely what you are looking for. If you would like me to order it for
you I can do that no problem. Either shoot me an email or call the guys up
on the counter(

Best you learn how to carry on your body. Having a bad guy between your bike and you with the gun on the bike makes the gun rather useless.
