There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. GloRyders on RT-622 Trailer?

MarkLawson

RT-S PE#0031
Has anyone put the GloRyder lights on their RT-622 trailer wheels? If so, which specific GloRyder model did you use and were there any fitment issues? I'd like to get some to match those on my RT-S.

Thanks,

Ive got the extra set for that very reason, but Ive never installed them, cause I bought the Moto-Mate Camper and will install them on it.... eventually. I want to get matching wheels (RTSmokedChrome) to put on the camper & then have the match'n glo-ryders & that'll look KICK'N :2thumbs:

:shemademe_smilie:Hey, Teddy told me to do it :shemademe_smilie:

I'm sure if Kurt is watching this thread he'll have an answer. I've been thinking about the same thing for my 622.

Won't fit . They go in the rims just fine but the offset from the trailer hubs stick out too far. I tried it last year with both standard and billet ones

I was wondering if that might be the case. I tried to pry the center cover off one of my trailer wheels and couldn't get a good bite underneath it & failed. When I pressed on it, it felt like it was up against something hard.

Yessir, Sorry I missed this one. We have been busy and I am just getting back here to check on things in the forum.

As Dave says above we looked into this as we had some interest from trailer owners wanting a matching GloRyder wheel look, (great for side visibility!) but we found that the hub interferes with the locking device. Of course if someone were ambitious enough I imagine a new lock could be machined to fit the hole, or maybe the hub could be tapped to mount the GloRyder. I have not had a trailer to look at so just guessing here...

So, if I pulled my trailer down to wherever you are in Florida, how many hours would I wait for you to design, fabricate and install a prototype?

Wow! Well you can always give us a call and we will be happy to look at it if you get down to Florida. 209 456 2782. Our machine shop is in another state so we would have to design it in the software here and send it out to machining and then send it out to you for fitting. Might be a little impractical. (and expensive)

Alternatively it may be easier for you if you took our housing to a local machinist and asked him what he could come up with to lock on to the trailer wheel.

The market would have to demand it for us to consider manufacturing it and it seems to be a little limited right now. Let me know what you end up doing as we would be interested to see how it turns out.

Thanks!

I have a set at my machinist right now. He should have something done by the time I get back from NC. Stay tuned to this channel for updates.

Never thought of this-- but that's a cool idea!
