• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Getting ready for cold weather ryding...

The Thermosuit is incredible. I went to the local cycle shop and tried one on. The only thing is I look like the Michelin Man in this thing. Of course, that is not really the suit's fault!! :roflblack: :roflblack:

I had to go 2X to get a long enough leg but it fit well. And I can wear my Pressure suit body armor under it. I didn't buy it though. Ron, when I'm ready I'm going to get it from you. But I do like it ALOT!

I can see myself looking like the Michelin Man no matter what suit I was to buy. At least it isn't white though! :roflblack:

Wolfen! I hear ya brother. If it were White peops would be thinking I was a Bumble! :roflblack: But seriously, it's the warmest piece of clothing I have ever tried on. And I get the impression that rain will just bounce off of this thing.

Another nice thing; I can put it on right over my normal work clothes. Long story short, there are many pros to this and very few cons, if any!

The putting it on over normal work clothes is what Dltang said as well, and that really sounds good to me.

Thanks for the original posting! Last week I flew to Phoenix to pick up and drive home a "new" used (719 miles) 2010 Orbital Blue RT-AC for my wife. :shemademe_smilie: I made the "mistake" of letting her drive my RT-S and then all I heard was "I want one!!" So, it was off to Phoenix for a really good deal on the RT-AC. Long story short - it was because of this forum thread that I stopped in Sacramento Wednesday evening on the way home and purchased the FirstGear Thermo suit. I would have ordered from our friend here on SpyderLovers, but the timing didn't work. I must say that the suit performed like a champ. Thursday morning, I left Williams, CA headed to Hwy 101 via Hwy 20. The temperatures ranged from 25 to 35 degrees for the first three to four hours. Under the suit, I was wearing blue jeans and a long sleeved t-shirt. While I must say that I was not totally warm, neither was I actually cold....just comfortably cool. Learning curve here, folks! :lecturef_smilie: I think that in temperatures under 40 degrees, a good long sleeved thermal shirt would do the trick. All that said, this form and its members willing to share :chat: made my ryde back home very, very enjoyable. Now my wife wants one of these, too!!! :gaah:

The great thing about the Thermo is you don't have to bulk up underneath to be comfortable down into the 20 degree range. Bang for the buck, for cold weather you can't beat them.
