• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

My Wife and daughter are claiming their right to pilot the Spyder. Trouble (or good thing) is. Neither has their liccene. In WV if you take the test on the Spyder, that does not qualify you for a two wheeler. Neither has driven a two wheeler and it may take a fare bit of practice to pass the test. I took the bike test in the early 60s and don't even remember how hard it was. If they want to drive the Spyder now, then test on it. But I have a 650 Samari that they could easily handle. I guess just take them to the parking lot with the 650 and see. :yikes:

Tough one..!!

if they can test on the spyder, and have no interest in two wheels, then they could train on it. Many places don't have that luxury and you do have to test on a two wheeler. Nevertheless, taking a course can help both with the dmv and insurance companies....good luck with that...

IMO it doesn't hurt to have some experience on two wheels before riding on three wheels. It will give them a better perspective.

Second on taking a class if they can handle a two wheeler or even just for the knowledge of motorcycling, if they can not.
I see no problem with getting three wheel only endorsement if that is all you are going to ride. No class, get out the owners manual, at least my 2010RT had a great section on this.
Good luck and skill to all.
