• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Getting Hot?

Coolant Light was on Sun. night when I got home. 2014 RTL, 32,000 miles. No codes, just light on, but did not notice Temp. Gauge. Went out for a short ride and no light. Went to Phoenix with no problems, 100 miles. Yesterday. Drove hard and temp. gauge stayed in normal range. Got to Phoenix and with stopping, Temp. Gauge would slowly go up until I had air going through it. Of course Shop was closed on Mon. Stopped on way home and as I was slowing down temp. gauge slowly climbed after putting in small amount of coolant before leaving Phoenix. Fans working but Maybe Not all the time, did not run when stopped all the time. Thinking fan is going out, anyone else have this problem. Must be time to get a new one. :-). Calling Shop!

It's pretty normal for the fans to cycle On and Off,(that's what they do).
If your gauge isn't high/hot, relax. These things generate a lot of heat, and they have a very
solid cooling system. I would caution you about adding coolant, and to make sure you are
doing it by the book. Naturally when crawl speed or sit and idle, your temp is gonna' go up.

Here's the thing....

:agree: the fan only comes on when the engine reaches a certain temperature. Your fan has the added advantage of running both ways so when stopped is draws the air out of the engine compartment if ryding will push air through. I have an RS and only the digital bar guage. Fan comes on when it hits 5 bars and cuts off and on as needed. The warmer the weather the more this will happen.....
