• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Drift HD720 for $79.99, Deal of the Day @ Best Buy.

I have not made a Spyder video yet. I took my cameras to Spyderfest but never used them, shame on me.

Here is a video I made using these cameras. Your video will look better than it appears on YouTube due to compression artifacts.

Based on your recommendation, I bought one today and it is now charging. I'm looking forward to using it.

I shot this video with my drift, I haven't done many, but it has worked
great, gotta get another mount as I only have a side mount, The one I
put on top of the helmet was not located well. I didn't position itl as I
would have liked. (Live and learn)

Heck I just might run over to best buy and pick up another :D

Wow, that's $10 cheaper than the Best Buy one day deal they did a couple of months ago that was posted here. Got one then.

Very nice!!!

:clap::clap:Love your transitions....this seems better than the $400.00 goPro. Are the transitions part of the firmware editing program?

I have hesitated to buy one of these because I always thought the editing of the raw film would just chew up too much time. What say you. The videos are quite good and make it look like someone spent a lot of time on them.

Where do you have it mounted?

The camera is mounted on the cowl just behind the wind deflector using a suction cup mount. IMG_1538.jpg The lens is positioned just outside the defector.

The GoPro has the best picture quality but is the hardest to use. In my opinion the Drift is a notch below the GoPro in PQ but is much less complicated to use plus has a remote. It has been my experience that no matter how good a product is, if it is difficult to use, it doesn't get used.

The transitions are standard iMovie tools.

It can be time consuming putting video together. I just mess around with it because I've always enjoyed photography and this is like photography on steroids. I don't do professional looking videos like a lot of others on here, Ticketbait being one, so my videos don't take me that long to make. I don't use complicated video software, I just use what came on my computers, iMovie and Movie Maker.
