• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Get a Drift HD720 for your Spyder.

The GoPro has the best picture quality but is the hardest to use. In my opinion the Drift is a notch below the GoPro in PQ but is much less complicated to use plus has a remote. It has been my experience that no matter how good a product is, if it is difficult to use, it doesn't get used.

The reason I sold my GoPro.

Thinking of getting the Drift HD720 to record some video on my Trip to Germany later this year on my Spyder RT-S SE5 2010 Model

Don't want to put holes in the tupperware So there are 2 options I am looking at

1 Attach the Drift to my helmet or

2 Use this -
Item No: 30-015-00 - Drift Shoulder Mount

The Drift Shoulder Mount is the perfect accessory for capturing your point of view when the action goes down. The shoulder mount is fully adjustable to suit all sizes and is compatible with all Drift cameras.

Great for snow, motor, skate: any sport where you want to get a unique first person perspective without following the movement of your head. The shoulder mount is a great alternative to helmet mounting.

Has anyone used this shoulder mount and if so is there any Videos to show the results of how it performs and the type of view you get from using one

Update -

Bought one on Tuesday.
Plugged it in to charge and played with it while plugged in.. so far so good.
Unplugged it to run off battery - Nothing, zip, nada. :banghead:

Apparently it's all over the DRIFT technical support forums that many units refuse to charge the battery.
Unless DRIFT responds to my support ticket or Best Buy exchanges this one with one that works, I'm taking my $80 back. :gaah:

Almost as bad as limp mode! I'll keep using my $300 GoPro thank you.

DRIFT customer support was kind enough to ship me a new battery, but by that time I already returned the unit for a refund.
