• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

general altimax rt43 has a bigger diameter 215/60/15 then stock tire 225/50 15 will it hit the rear fender on a 2014 rss ? do you have to shim the fender? :opps:

Will fit just fine, tight but fine; and no you don't need to shim the fender.

As an added bonus your speedometer will be accurate to the GPS's MPH readings throughout the entire speed range!!!:yes::clap::clap::2thumbs:

I believe you will. A good place to find out more information is in the advance search. Type in tire, tire size or tire and fender. You will pull up more information than you ever knew existed for tires.

Thanks for getting me straight on this. I know one of the models usually needs the fender shimmed if going to a different sized tire.

ok thanks guys will be installing one next week:clap:
I am also running the General Altimax RT 43 tire on my 2014 RTS-SE6.

I posted pictures of the my General Altimax RT 43 tire on the "Tire" thread.

I am very happy with the General Altimax RT 43 tire. The spyder handles fine. I choose the General Altimax RT 43 for the ratings. I do not notice a difference. Deanna

TO SHIM OR NOT.....

ok thanks guys will be installing one next week:clap:
The issue won't be if it will hit any fender parts or bolts/nuts..............However the wiring needs to be PERFECTLY attached so it does not get scraped by the tire..................been there done that....Mike :bbq:

Yep that wiring loom going to the licence plate light needs to be properly positioned and checked that it stays where it is supposed to be; or something bad will happen, yes it will.:yikes:

I installed one earlier this week and I have plenty of clearance. So far, I love this tire.

Pam

Thanks!
(I'm running 25 psi in my Kumho...)
I wondered about your tire pressures, since Mike is such a proponent of running them with around 21psi or so in them...

TIRE & PAINTED DASH

Bob, if you knew how long it took me to convince Her ( to allow me ) to Paint Her Dash " Cognac ", you would know why I gave up at 26 PSI....:roflblack:........Mike :bbq:

I went with the Yokahama S drive 215-55-15. I got it delivered yesterday but have not installed it yet. I figure the 55 is still larger than the kenda 50 but not give me the clearance issues of the 60. Also if you get mud on the tire, It will rub on the fender. Im sure the 60 is fine on the RT but on a RS or ST you need to go a step smaller
