general altimax rt43 has a bigger diameter 215/60/15 then stock tire 225/50 15 will it hit the rear fender on a 2014 rss ? do you have to shim the fender?pps:
I believe you will. A good place to find out more information is in the advance search. Type in tire, tire size or tire and fender. You will pull up more information than you ever knew existed for tires.general altimax rt43 has a bigger diameter 215/60/15 then stock tire 225/50 15 will it hit the rear fender on a 2014 rss ? do you have to shim the fender?pps:
Thanks for getting me straight on this. I know one of the models usually needs the fender shimmed if going to a different sized tire. Will fit just fine, tight but fine; and no you don't need to shim the fender.
As an added bonus your speedometer will be accurate to the GPS's MPH readings throughout the entire speed range!!!:yes::clap::clap::2thumbs:
I am also running the General Altimax RT 43 tire on my 2014 RTS-SE6.ok thanks guys will be installing one next week:clap:
The issue won't be if it will hit any fender parts or bolts/nuts..............However the wiring needs to be PERFECTLY attached so it does not get scraped by the tire..................been there done that....Mike :bbq:ok thanks guys will be installing one next week:clap:

Hi Dee,
How much air (in PSI), are you running in your rear tire?
I am running theNot sure what Dee is running in hers, I have the same tire and running 26psi, just rode today and feels great.
Bob, if you knew how long it took me to convince Her ( to allow me ) to Paint Her Dash " Cognac ", you would know why I gave up at 26 PSI....:roflblack:........Mike :bbq:Thanks!
(I'm running 25 psi in my Kumho...)
I wondered about your tire pressures, since Mike is such a proponent of running them with around 21psi or so in them...
But Pam, you've got a big RT where everything is more roomy :gaah::thumbup:I installed one earlier this week and I have plenty of clearance. So far, I love this tire.
