my spyder seems to run better on premium gas, but my dealer insists to run regular only, does anyone know if it really matters.

The data shows that it doesn't matter...with that being said, everyone here has an opinion...
Go with what you like...either will work fine in your bike....

I'm not sure. I've got just under 1000 miles on my RT. I burned regular (87) octane for the first 800 miles. 25 MPG. Now I'm trying a higher grade (89) octane.
No noticeable performance difference, but I think I'm getting better gas mileage, close to 30. So, I'm paying 10% more per gallon for 20% more gas mileage. Sounds good, but the jury is still out.
I could be getting better mileage because the engine is getting more broken in.
I run regular and here is why.
Pick any gas station. Ask them how much regular they go through in a week. Then ask them how much hightest they go through in a week.
The regular is fresher in most places.
With the alcohol freshness matters more
