• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Gas Octane YOU USE

I run 91 or as close as I can find but have had to run 89 and 87 a time or two with no issues.

But here is the BIG question. In a "normal" fill up, we are usually putting in 3 or 4 to 4.5 gallons. The guy before you at the gas pump most likely filled up with "regular unleaded" (87 octane). The fuel hose is long and of sizable diameter. I have to wonder.....how much 87 octane are you putting in your machine before you start getting pure 91 or 93 octane??? Hummmm..... THEN how much of that have YOU paid for that the next guy will be getting out of the hose? If I make a fuel run, I take a 1 gallon gas can along (again....a FUEL run near my house....so my saddle bag is empty enough to hold it) and put the first 1/2 gallon in the can before putting any in the Spyder. The can fuel is great for the lawn mower. My preference is to get a few 15 gallon barrels full of pure gas in 91 octane when I can get to the right places near me. Of course...the first gallon goes in the truck!

If any of the above fails....I just run whatever Mr. Cognac THINKS he has in his tank!!!

I can answer your question. There is approx a quart of liquid between the switching valve and the nozzle in your hand.

Run the best I can find.

I do it for performance and gas mileage but most importantly to keep from fouling up the fuel system with sub par Govt cheese! I always use the highest octane available and non ethenol when within driving distance of a place that sells it.......
