• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Garmin GPS

On my previous bike, I had the Garmin Zumo 390, which costs $600. Recently I purchased the Garmin 2597 automative gps from Amazon for $138. It doesn't need to be waterproof and I don't care about the brightness of the screen because I mainly use the voice directions.

I need a gps that I can program a specific route using Basecamp on a mac.

The Garmin 2597 works fine with basecamp and the mac. Outdoors, the brightness is not bad. However, it is NOT compatible with the SENA SMH-10 Bluetooth Headset.

Update: I just tested Map Quest. I can program the route on www.mapquest.com. Then, send it to my iPhone via email. Then, open it in the Map Quest app. I can keep the iPhone in my pocket and get voice directions via the SMH-10 headset.
