Sadly passed away, December '23.
Well I solved my GPS dilemma. I actually have 2 GPS’s. One is a 6” Garmin Drive 6LT. I was hoping it would fit in my phone mount, but the GPS was about 1/16” too wide. I tried using the suction cup mount on my windshield, but it was way, way too shaky. The dash is textured so it would not suction to that at all. I’m not a big fan of 3M sticky pads on my bike, so I was searching the internet looking for a GPS cradle that would fit it with no luck.
Then I remembered I had another GPS, a Navigon with a 4” screen. I tried it and it fits perfectly in the phone mount and is held rock steady. An added benefit is the power plug connects from the bottom edge rather then on the back like my Gamin so there is no interference. The clamps on the mount fit perfectly between the GPS power on/off button the top right and the power connection port on the bottom left with no interference.
Since I listen to my music through my helmets Sena headset via Bluetooth I can actually just start the music and leave the phone in my pocket, thus freeing up the holder for the GPS. Now I hope the special cable I ordered off Amazon works to let me use the GPS while connected to the USB port in my frunk without thinking it’s connected to a computer and I’ll be all set.
