• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

FYI Pay attention out there the cagers dont!!!!!!

Check out this link its a local news report in Kelowna B.C......... take note the person in the black hoodie with the hood up and glasses on is a customer of mine and lost one of his legs 3 years ago in a motorcycle accident. One of the main reasons I bought a Spyder instead of a 2 wheeler.

It's not just cage-rs that don't pay attention,.
We all have moments where we don't pay attention.
Fact of life were all human.

Sick of watch'n the news & seeing all these MC deaths

nojokeHere in the Cincinnati Ohio/Northern Kentucky area, we didn't really have a Winter & that means more 2wheelers on the road sooner than usual & in the last month we've already had 3 fatalities & while watching the news tonight, we had our 4th nojoke

wow :( ... makes you think...

With my group, I purposely ride in the back since I am more visible ( upgraded LED's and such ). I figure I can provide better support back there, as well, no one will run up on me cause my baby can stop on a dime ;) ...

Bless all those that ride..............:pray::doorag:

Cagers and Bykers

I just got my :spyder2: back after a lady rearended me. She thought I should pull out in front of an Ambulance!! Said" But it was way over there!" Well DUH!!! 26++.00 later I get my byke out and ryding for a short time THEN the RAIN HIT!!!! ( of course I got wet!!!) PEOPLE DO NOT PAY ATTENTION WHEN DRIVING!!!!The worst is that we are ALL guilty of that. Just Luckier in that we didn't hit anybody or rearend anyone etcetera.

You really want to stop faster than the guy behind you?. Ouch!!

Everyday I get on my bike (soon to be Spyder), I think: " today someone is going to try to kill me" Sadly on far to many days it proves to be true. Sometimes it's because the driver doesn't see me, even worse is that many times they do and just don't care!
Every year, year after year, I have to retrain myself to just Foget It and Drive On! It usually takes me about 2 weeks to remember this and accept and EXPECT the other guy to do the wrong thing and not get mad about it.

It's all about size IMHO. We humans, like the rest of the animal kingdom, respect or disrespect according to the other party's size, it's a programmed conduct.
Then of course, we came up with good manners, law and order and the rest of niceties we need to live as a coherent group and not kill each other. However, the first reaction of cages is to overlook and disregard a motorcycle. Eighteen wheelers do the same to cages (and motorcycles).
We need to be aware that we are at the bottom of the food chain, just a bit above bicycles. That's why it is important to rattle the subconscious of cage drivers with bright colors and lights, loud horns and exhausts, etc., to wedge ourselves into their consciousness and, hopefully get their law abiding training time to kick in.
BTW I'm no psychologist, I'm just a student of nature and human behavior 😜

I purposely bought reflective stickers to decorate my Spyder! Put them around my license plate holder and one on the back of my helmet too!!

I haven't done the extra lighting yet, but this makes me want to!!!

I also don't wear all black clothing when I ryde! I have a gray/white/black jacket with reflective piping for cooler weather, and a pink/black mesh jacket for the hot stuff! My helmet has pink/white/gray barbed wire on it. More visibility, I say!!!! I also use my horn "liberally"...... :thumbup:

I wear a yellow helmet and yellow or that funky yellow/green riding jacket for visibility. Got lots of lights too, front and rear. Will be adding more.

We have to ride like the cage coming at us has a driver who is:
drunk
Blind
hungover
His wife just left him for a guy who looks like me
He just got fired
He just lost his life's savings betting on sports
Just got told that his girlfriend has given him an STD...
:yikes::yikes::yikes:

And then we also have to pay attention ourselves... :opps:

That is the best I have ever heard it described!! :bowdown: Very funny and yet so very true!

I Still call it "Escape and Evasion!"
You Have to know whats in front of you AND behind you at ALL times.
At stop lights- Keep an eye on the vehicles approaching from behind and Tap the Brakes Once, Twice and if they aren,t going to stop- Get the U know what out of Dodge!

I almost got to watch an older couple get picked off today by some a$$hole in a dodge intrepid today . They were on their bicycles going to the gym and the couple had the right of way and the moron just went into the turn and barely stopped. Had it not been for the car behind me I swear i wanted to pound the guys head in for not paying attention . EVERYONE be careful out there please .

Meaning if I am in the middle of the group and something happens in front of me, I am afraid my fellow bikers may not be able to stop as fast as me. That being said, when in the back, I am aware of who is behind me and back them off from the group..... I think I am doing the right thing. I will deal with who is behind me... nobody else can :D
