• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Full speed on the Autobahn

speed

Not involved in this speed debate -but - if anyone will type in "3 wheeled motorcycle speed records " it might give you some real information.

They don't limit the speed in the US either, that person is wrong.

I remember seeing a picture of the larger sprocket, I thought it was from Australia, but Europe makes much more sense. You guys do love to drive fast.

Did the F3 wobble at that speed? I've had my RT up to 106 and, while I don't think it had much more left, I backed off as it felt wobbly to me.

You should find someone to align it to get rid of the wobble.

roflmao

Let's wait and see how they'll explain the mystery...[emoji12]

I'm surprised that the digital read-out went about 200 kph...
But if you take a look at all of the griping about how inaccurate speedometers are; you can probably safely deduct 15 kph from that read-out.

It wasn't on radar; it's probably not accurate.

OR safely add 15kph from that read-out.

Do you have the new bike ready to get it's ears pinned back, and turned loose yet? :D
Nooooooo😭
Still waiting... End of may, my dealer said😒
And patience really is not my strong suit.

Any wise words from your grandpa to help me through the next two weeks?
I really loved the saying you posted in another thread. That was brilliant! 😄

"Patience is the one virtue, that none of us can wait to acquire."

Thanks...
He had more common sense in his big toe, than an entire busload of the rest of us...
I think of him daily, and miss him most of all.

The 1330 motor is governed for speed now

It's one thing to be a teenager and see what daddy's car will do wide open on a downhill section of Interstate. It is entirely a different thing to see how fast a motorcycle designed for safety will go and then brag about it on SL. This kind of bragging about this reckless activity will both encourage more recklessness and make the rest of the Spyder community look reckless to the rest of the world. This type of post reflects on the entire Spyder community and could likely lead to the dreaded top speed governor should BRP choose to install it to cover their butts.

Sorry, I don't require any forum encouragement to drive reckless when I feel the moment is safe.
If can-am had to compete against another manufacturer in their exclusive front 3 wheel market you can bet the performance would improve as well.
Ski-do is getting 150 hp out of the 1330 because they have Competition. It is completely reckless for any snowmobile manufacturer to put that kind of power and speed on the trail. But, sales drive everything not comments on forums.
In winter, the emergency rooms in northern Wisconsin have to be fully staffed 24/7 on WEEKENDS! It's a tremendous revenue generator for our state as family and friends visit these snowmobile patients until they can arrange an ambulance or med-vac flight home.

Caught me on both sides of the fence

Sooo... Do you PREFER to see this human carnage, and view it as a viable generator of revenue for Wisconsin? :dontknow:
Wonder if someone noticed. Next to the Green Bay Packers, the #1 coversation at the local northern pubs is how many got hauled off the trails.

For what it's worth, there is a youtube vid of a Spyder doing 205kph floating around (that's about 128 mph); 3 runs I think, once each way on one section of Fwy plus one other run.... and there's no corvette in sight, altho I guess it could've been edited out!! ;)

I love when people post videos that have NOTHING to do with the topic!!! The original post was referring to an F3,,, Incase anyone missed it,,, this is an F3 forum.. I don't care how many You Tube videos there are of something I'm not talkin about going "who gives a crap fast"!!! Let's stay on topic here.. I called BS on the F3 goin 128 -132mph and STILL DO.. The RS is quite a bit more aero efficient than an F3.. Being that I can walk about 50yds and run into 2 wind tunnels,, I have a pretty good grasp of how aerodynamics work...

yamaha Raider

I recently got to 134Mph on my F3S Manual but I think she might of had more to go, I hope she does its kinda sad with a 1330cc engine being way slower than a GSX-R 600 Girls Bike! I need upgrades hurry up aftermarket!
tried eating a suv with my raider that would push 140mph, lost my leg and came to the spyder family but didn't know the "200MPH" spedo would max out so soon like ya said common aftermarket!!!

Well Ann

A laser alignment would take care of that!:roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:. The other day I unwittingly had the 13 RTL with two up, at about 103 with a lot of wind coming over Pacheco Pass,a nd there was not wobble at all very steady, and there was more in the tank. I was not intending to go that fast, but my wife said 95 and by the time I looked down......we were at 103.
