• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Frustrated

Well the Spyder made it out of the shop finally!

Made my second payment today...

Day 59 as an owner....
Day 29 and finally out of the shop....

Congrats on getting your :spyder2: back.
I am still waiting.

Day 32 without Spyder for this issue

91 days without Spyder for DPS steering issue earlier this year.

3 service depts. since December.

Put a little over 100 miles on the Spyder today...ran super!!!

Keeping my fingers crossed.....

Excellent news! I was within a few miles of you today on Rt 6 into Fostoria. Next time I'm headed in that direction maybe we can go for a ryde. Two spyders is sure to turn more heads. :2thumbs:

(having a former Sgt couldn't hurt when we get pulled over either. :roflblack: )

Seems to me BRP went way to Toyota with the safety equipment on these spyders. DPS is certainly an issue and is an unneeded addition.......

Unplug the fuse on your DPS on a RT and go ride about 25 miles on lets say the Blue Ridge Parkway. The word "unneeded" would not occur to you after that. The amount of muscle needed to turn the bars is greater than you would suspect. :doorag:

Depending if you have a lemmon law or not. 30 cummulative days of being in repair satisfies many states lemmon laws!
Mines been in 13 days and not even a call BUT lets say I get it back at 22 days?- in CT that means they only have 9 days left of shop time during the first 2 years or I can file the Lemmon Law and BRP doesn,t like to pay for that!!:cus:nojoke
You listening Carlo!!!

Virginia has a very similar lemon law. By Thursday they will have mine for the allowable 30 day shop time permitted during the first 18 months. BRP will then have 15 days to complete the repair after receipt of a demand letter.

Lemon

I bought mine in Florida... Florida lemon laws do not cover motorcycles. I will have to use warranty issues if necessary. Hopefully, my problems have been solved!

Does the law apply to motorcycles

I have not needed it, thankfully, but I checked and in Pa, the lemon law does not apply to motorcycles. I have a friend whose motor scooter has been in the shop 4 out of the 12 months he has owned it.

It is a taiwanese scooter called a Sym, and with no us offices the dealer has to call taiwan and try to understand their tech?

And some of us think we have issues!

Of course his Sym cost him around 5K not 30K.
