Has anyone out there been having the same problems with their RT. I finally bought a brand new 2010 RT with zero miles on the bike. I also bought the matching trailer, thinking that my partner and I would be taking long rides on the bike. I bought the bike in September of 2010. Since then the bike has been in the shop 4 times. The first time of course was the DPS recall which took place after the first month that I owned the bike. Then the master cyclinder went out. These of course where minor problems. The next one of course was a major problem. While returning from a weekend in the keys and going over 70mph on the highway, the sterring sensor in the bike went out causing the bike to shut itself down. Have you ever been on the interstate in Miami, Fla and have no power to get out of the way of the moving cars? I can tell you that it is very scary. After that incident, I was scared to get on the bike, but my friends who have been bikers for over 30 years, told me to get back on it. I did and just 4 days ago the ignition coil and cluster went out. Yet again I have to have it towed to the dealer. Everytime I take it to the dealer they say we fixed it and you should have no more problems. BRP's idea was to extend my warranty by 3 months. Does anyone know what recourse I might have? I told them if this was a lexus, they would have taken it back. Don't get me wrong I love my spyder but if you pay alot of money for something it shouldn't:gaah: keep breaking when its only 9 months old.
