• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Front brake pads need replacing

Is there a better pad out there? Better than the BRP pad. My brakes on my 2011 squealed like a pig. Have they improved them on the 2015 RTs?

The original BRP brake system is notorious for noise. The Brembo's used on the 2013 + models are a big improvement in more ways than noise. Yet some still have the dreaded squeal.

The EBC Simi-Sintered for the 2008-2012 models stop better and last longer. Their 'Squeal' factor is as good or better than the OEM pads. But there are things that can be done at install to prevent the noise.

The EBC Fully Sintered for the 2013-2016 models stop quite a bit better and last longer.

Not too sure about the instructions in post #6, as I have yet to see an RT-S with fork legs and a center stand. Removing the wheels makes life a lot easier and the pistons need to be pushed back into their bores once the old pads are removed. Be very careful to check brake fluid level when you do this as the fluid may overflow the container. Also, apply brake anti-squeal to the back of the pads, otherwise the noise can be very irritating.

Yeah I didn't read those as closely as I should,I just sort of skimmed thru them. Thanks for catching that.
