• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Microsoft said today that if you are running windows, and have apples QuickTime movie player on it, you should delete QUICK TIME. it opens a door for identity theft problems. it is a easy uninstall and i just did it. MAC users should have no problems with it

Here is the warning as copied from Snopes.com

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security has sent out an urgent alert advising Windows users to uninstall Apple's QuickTime program, the video and audio software (once) widely used to play movie trailers and other Internet media clips, due to two major vulnerabilities in the program that can allow hackers into people's computers.Apple has been periodically fixing bugs in QuickTime over the past several years. but Apple has pulled support for QuickTime on Windows, and their last update for the product came in late January 2016.QuickTime for Windows will continue to work and is still available for download, but Apple and the DHS have urged Windows users to uninstall the program."Using unsupported software may increase the risks from viruses and other security threats," DHS said in their alert. "The only mitigation available is to uninstall QuickTime for Windows."Over the past several years, QuickTime has largely been supplanted by online media platforms such as YouTube, Facebook and Netflix.
