That's the first I've heard of this. Unless they are mistakenly talking about the adjustable rear airbag, which really won't impact "sway at speed"

Did I miss something? I would love an electronically controlled front shock setup.

Exactly, When the 13's first were reviewed they were met with Glowing reviews by the hand picked testers, Then after the civilians got them and started to ride and put some miles on them, The S**t hit the fan...

I have to say... back when I was first interested in a Spyder, I watched review after review. Video after video. Lemonster might ban me for saying this but the Fred Rau reviews and videos were lame as well. Clearly someone that would not say anything bad about a Spyder no matter what year it was! When you turn into a freebee taker, you turn into a salesman. Sorry Fred but my opinion buddy! I lost credibility with you and some of your videos. However, Lemonster's videos were always the truth! For that I thank him :clap:

It was all interesting though. I got a head full of differing opinions and knowledge. In the end I wanted a Spyder no matter what! I just now had a lot more knowledge about them going in and expectations where not OVER HYPED! I am thankful I spent the time doing the research! Anyone spending this much money SHOULD! If not, well....

I am a happy owner at this time and it was not due to high end motorcycle mag reviews or people that wont give a honest review because someone has their pockets!

I happen to have experience with the "product whore" game playing that goes on. Not in this market but in others.

Be smart! You all know what I mean!

Opinions cost what you pay for them and PLENTY of people have them.
You have to digest the BS with the real data and also the opinions!

I found the Spyder community of "users" seemed to teach me the most about what to expect before buying one.

To be honest I am glad I bought used right now for my first Spyder purchase. It was a lot cheaper and it worked perfect for me. The 2013 model hype almost sucked me in to buying new! I am glad to have a well running 2011 that does exactly what I expected it to do and have no buyers remorse.

Again research and knowing what you are getting into makes all the difference in the world!

I just noticed in the video that the troublesome indicator cancel button has been replaced with a 3-way switch. Looks as though you have left and right indication and an "off" position in the middle, should be easy to find with your thumb. :thumbup:

Look again I just watched it and at 1:57 it shows the left hand controls and the turn indicator appears to be the same as it was in 2013. Since I don't have one in the garage to look at I went to the BRP site and there was a video there that shows the same control. (BRP hasn't put the 2014 info on their site yet)

I have never met Fred Rau, but I have read many of his articles and reviews long before he was a Spyder spokesman. In the motorcycle community his credibility has never been questioned.

Understood about before with Fred. But have you seen any of his spyder reviews or vides?
Clearly biased!

In my opinion all of the major mag reviews or major players in the industry reviews are all glowing with no real meat behind them! Look at the 2013 reviews!
The best info I got befor buying was from regular owners here on SL!

So there was something good about the 2013 models after all! I am still locked into the dark ages of 2011 cos that's what I ride. Canceling the turn signal on my Spyder was/is, (ahem), "troublesome". You may have seen comment hereabouts to that effect... :f_spider:

Hold up, isn't that exactly what you are doing to Finless, opinion bashing?

Opinions are all we have on this forum. We share them, one with another. And I noticed that Finless apologized to Fred for the personal opinion he had formed on his video's. Did you notice how polite he was being toward a respected member of the motorcycling community? Or doesn't, "Sorry Fred my opinion Buddy!" cut any ice with you?

Fred's videos are not put out there to be beyond criticism. We all know Fred is BRP's man singing BRP's tune and all Finless was doing in my opinion was making a statement of the obvious. As is his right.

Yes, Fred is biased. The short story is that he was skeptical of the Spyder and quickly fell in love with it. He is a fan...and all fans are biased. Lamont and the rest of us are also biased. We are SpyderLovers, for gosh sakes! We are all enthusiasts...and enthusiasts are naturally enthusiastic. I am not connected with the company in any way and I am most certainly biased. Just because someone has nothing bad to say about a product doesn't mean he or she is being paid to look at it that way or that there is any kind of "conspiracy" to hush up the bad stuff.

I respect Fred Rau's opinion greatly.
I remember his initial skepticism well; the Spyder won him over!
Our best bet; is to tell the truth about our bikes...
