• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

F3 Pricing

We will have to wait and see for sure.

If its going to be just like the spy photos, naked, and with a 1330 ACE engine, mid twenties seems a bit high for me too.

remember: one of the cardinal rules of marketing: it is not how much something is worth in comparison to other products, what matters is how much can you sell it for. That is why even though, Mercedes Benz has nearly the same manufacturing and sales costs as a Chrysler, it is usually sold for a lot more.

And weeks ago I heard low 20s from a very credible source and still I take it all with the grain of salt and won't pay any attention to guesses especially when the real data is so close. Price versus picture seems a bit silly to me. You have to ride a machine to determine if it worth whatever the price is..

Bob, I have read a lot of your post over the last year, and I mean ALOT! And I'm pretty sure that last post was the best post, definitely in the top 10 post of Bob Denman.

Thanks for your knowledge input and expertise I always look forward to reading your post

Build One, from BRP Website

I used their website to "build" two different F3 Spyders. First time I chose a red F3-S with SE6 and added rider & passenger backrests as well as a Route 66 style windshield. That build cost $23,898.97. Second time I chose a black base F3 with SM6 and added the same two backrests with a Blue Ridge windshield. That build cost $20,898.97, exactly $3000.00 less. Like every motorcycle there is you have to add things to make it more comfortable or to personalize it.

My F3-S order is just stock. Sure I'd love some of the accessories, but after seeing the prices in the new F3 catalog ...WTF. I'm sorry, but in my opinion the prices are ridicules.

Back rest...I could buy a leather sectional couch for what they are asking for a backrest.

When the bikes start being delivered; there'll be a lot of head-scratching over this entire issue of accessoried...
If the aftermarket steps up; delivering a comparable product at a reasonable price, perhaps BRP will re-think their plan... :dontknow:

Bob, the way I see it, what an opportunity for Aftermarket to make a killing offering good quality "stuff" at a realistic price.

Old Posts

I notice every so often that an old post gets dredged back up like it is something new. This one is more recent than others but I sometimes wonder what is the purpose of doing this. Nothing negative intended here, just curious.
