• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

F3 Limited radio issues

tango i was wondering if you had a chance to try that out on musha

MUSHU is at the SPA(dealer) again for the shock adjuster issue. They are removing the shocks to free them up, and reinstalling them. They are also trying a different antenna. I will call them tomorrow to try turning off the LED Fog Lights. Don't know how to turn off head lights. Maybe pull the fuse? :dontknow: Tom :spyder:

I've had the radio issue with my F3 L since day one. Well before adding Lamont's fog lights.
Rick

That's not what I wanted to hear. :yikes: I guess the signal blockers Lamont found may not work. :dontknow: Tom :spyder:

I think there is a radio issue and maybe the ones that are on the edge the LED's push them over the edge. We'll get it figured out. :doorag:

My RT is going in the shop tomorrow for a splash of fresh oil. I'm going to have the technician pull the antenna, clean off the Loc-Tite residue, and re-install it as per Billybovine's instructions.

Dealer is ordering a longer antenna for MUSHU. We all know it won't do any good. But, he has to follow BRP's orders. He doesn't know of any solution to the problem. And BRP is clueless at this point. :banghead: Tom :spyder:

my 16 f3 limited special is at shop today getting first service and oil leak fixed when i dropped it off yesterday the told me brp had got back with them told to check ground on antenna i ask them to put short one back on as it did not help hope lamont comes up with fix for fog lights

Mushu is at the dealer again for the radio not working. I saw the antenna that BRP sent. It is at least double the length of the stock one. As far as the LED fog lights. Made no difference off or on with mine. :banghead: How a multi million dollar company can't figure this out boggles the mind. :roflblack: Tom :spyder:

The new longer antenna is better. Reception kept coming and going, fading in and out. But better than the shorty. Still no AM, or NOAA at all! Now waiting to see what BRP does next. Rusty has had it three times now for several days. :banghead: Tom :spyder:

This radio issue on the F3L is NOT the first unsolved issue within the Spyder line up for BRP, that "boggles the mind". That dealers are clueless about issues, brings into question BRP's communicaton network. Turning the customer into a field tester for the supposed fix for no compensation is wrong on many levels. Does a multimillion dollar company not have R&D and QA/CQI departments that test manufacturer produced and supplier produced parts??????
Now that Lamont is "ON" this radio issue, the possibility of a correct solution has increased signifigantly. Good Luck to all radio equipped F3 owners.
Mike

It will be OK

Try not to let it ruin your day! It's only a radio!:roflblack::roflblack:

If it's "only" a radio. Why did they charge us for it? Should it have been free? :banghead: Refund everyone's money that paid for the radio. A $1000 would do. Tom :spyder:
