Exhausted

Good day all,
I am a proud new owner of a 2014 RT-SE6 and my question may be redundant but I searched the forum and found no true answer to my specific question. I apologize if it is redundant.

I want more exhaust sound, not obnoxious but want people to notice. The catch is...I do not want to do any other mods short of maybe a higher quality air filter.

Looking for thoughts, thanks in advance :f_spider:

Page 45 of the Can Am accessories catalog (available on line at BRP.com) shows the Akrapovik mufflers. They are supposed to give a better exhaust note (like you are looking for). A bit pricey though.

You might want to contact site sponsor ISCI and see if they have any options for you. I was just at their shop yesterday getting a hand brake installed and they demo-ed some of the exhaust options they have installed. Some where louder than others. One particular option they showed me only weighed about 2 or 3 pounds. I'm tempted to get one myself...

congratulations on the new ryde..!!:nopic:...:welcome:...as mentioned above but also check you tube for pipes with audio. Stay away from any competition or race pipes. I hear Yoshimura has a great one and a K&N filter and you should be good to go. :2thumbs:hyea:

Magnaflow 14809 Muffler

I just installed a Magnaflow 14809 Muffler on my 2012 RTs . Soon after I bought my RTs I had a local muffler shop build a straight pipe with a stainless tip. I liked the performance but was a little loud. I then modified the stock muffler by cutting 7 inches off the rear of the muffler, the sound was pretty good. But I kept looking at the Magnaflow polished stainless mufflers. I liked the look so I bit then bullet and ordered a Magnaflow 14809 from Amazon. It came today and I couldn't wait to try it out. I cut the back end of my straight pipe about 3 inches from the hanger that was welded on the pipe. Slid the muffler on where it looked good then spotted. It on then removed the assembly and welded it together. I had wrapped the pipe before with insulation so I just trimmed the wrap and rewound it. I held the wrap on the inlet end with a couple of screw clamps and the muffler end with a stainless exhaust band.
I took it out for a short ride. I like the sound. Not too loud but a nice rumble.
i am leaving on a trip with 30 of my good friends next Wednesday, about 1300 miles in 4 days. It will be interesting to see how it effects my fuel economy.
the muffler cost about $126.00 and the pipe was about $100.00. Beats the price of other aftermarket pipes. I looked at.

I'm liking the look of the Yoshimura carbon can but can't see one listed for the '14 triple yet. The Akra is dissappointing cosmetically for me, especially for the price , having a twin outlet on a triple is plain lazy, no excuse for poor attention to detail, just looks wrong!

The Catalytic by-pass pipe produces a little more sound but nothing like a 2-Bro muffler. It won't make people notice you but gives a pleasing lower tone. About $300 from Pit Bull.
