Exhaust wrap & heat insulating stuff..which one?
Had to wrap and rewrap a few times to get it right. Tried wraping clockwise from the bottom up but it didn't look right. Since the area around the top is a tight fit I decided to start there and wrap clockwise. The instructions said 44" per foot for a 2" pipe. I measured 3 lengths and added an extra foot. Should've added 2 extra feet.
Got it anchored at the top and worked it wrap by wrap down to where I ran out about 3" at the bottom. Tried again and really paid close attention to not overlapping too much. Problem is I ended up with a lot of fraying near the belt. (Since I was short)
Removed the lower wrap and cut. Got longer length and neatly finished it. Luckily I used the cheaper ties because I had to go through have a dozen before I got it right. Now I can use the better ties to keep it all in place.
This requires LOTS of patience! Don't do this with any little kids around as you'll probably use colorful language like I did.
Half way down:
Frayed end:
Middle ties anchoring end and start of next. Might try using second strip to hold first and tie with one tie.
Bottom with clean look:
