• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

HowTo: Heat wrap Cat Bypass pipe from Lamonster / Baldwin Iron Works

In another thread I showed how to remove the old Catalytic Converter (CC) from a 2014 RT. In this thread, I show the bypass pipe, the fiberglass tape I used to provide additional heat barrier to the pipe, and the optional baffle and plug (which I chose not to use).

The kit comes with the pipe, a tool used to remove (and replace) the springs holding the pipe to the engine exhaust, and the optional baffle and plug.

I bought some fiberglass exhaust pipe wrap which came with 6 metal ties. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01KVYH66U?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details

I got the small tool for tightening the ties https://www.amazon.com/Design-Engin...59-9e60-46c82a9290c7&pd_rd_i=B00STU1UOI&psc=1

And I got a can of High Temp Silicone Coating https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000MY1RB0?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1

With the pipe in a vise, I wrapped it with the fiberglass wrap and secured it with the 6 ties.

I then sprayed it with the High Temp Silicone Coating and when dry installed it under the Spyder, reversing the steps taken in the other thread on that topic. https://www.spyderlovers.com/forums...-Remove-Catalytic-Converter-(CC)-from-2014-RT

Ditto, except I'm using the full baffle, maybe we'll meet on a ride someday and compare notes (exhaust notes, ya know).

I'm considering pulling and wrapping the Exhaust Tuned Pipe (between the manifold and the cat delete) as well. Thoughts all you armchair mechanics?
