I hope I have not screwed it up by installing a HMF, a Green Performance air filter and an Evoluzione O2 modifier on my 2011 RS. I let the engine idle for 20 minutes after the install about a month ago.
I have noticed better mid-range performance and a louder better sounding engine. Engine temperature remains as before, no backfiring but low-range response is not as sharp as before. Also, I believe my MPGs were adversely impacted.
I'm hoping my dealer can tune things up in my next service call.
Please tell me I'm OK........
Spyders run lean right out of the box even with a stock exhaust and by adding any type of performance exhaust will make it run more lean. Bottom line is, there are no reported issuses that I'm aware of with a Spyder being damaged by any aftermarket exhaust. Some Spyders and aftermarket exhausts run well with no add on's, some need a 02 mod, some need a juice box. Those are the facts and these posts about the Hindle being the only safe exhaust is not true because the Spyder has no idea if a Hindle is installed or another brand of performance pipe.
