As a new owner, I notice the maps with all the colored states, and wonder if those states are ones that were visited while riding the :ani29:, or just states that have been visited other ways ? I have been in almost every state, but not on the :ani29:, and I don't want to give the wrong impression. Thanks for answering a stupid question. :dontknow:

There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

As you can see I only have NY filled in on mine. I do travel extensively, but have not had the chance to do so on my spyder yet. I am not saying that is the way you should do it, just answering on the dotted line. What I find is that I look at the maps and try to figure out if there is a good chance I will meet and ryde with that person. I cannot wait to fill up my map

As you revisit states on your new Spyder you could change the color to a single color. For instance you ride in TX and you change it from its current color to a different color like PINK! Keep changing the states to pink and in a very short time you will have an entirely pink map. I'd bet two years at most and you will hit all of the states again!

Recommend using :ani29: only states. Some people get upset if you are not a purist. I got rid of my map for that reason. I have travelled well, but did not get a spyder until 2008 and cannot re-travel the US and Canada. I can say, that I have almost 60,000 miles on four different :spyder2:,s though.

I only have my spyder travels on this site, but that was by choice. I do find it sad that you removed your map to satisfy purists. I'm a firm believer that we wern't put on this earth to make others happy. We were put here to enjoy life - without doing harm to others. That being said, the offense you described above does not constitute harm, and would probably result in a display of my right fist with the center digit extended....
FB if you are looking for opinions then I vote for 2 maps....that is a real feat you accomplished :bowdown: and I would love to see you do it again....
