• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Ethanol

Ethanol is only an issue when storing your spyder. I haven't noticed a difference when running ethanol laced gas or ethanol free. The only thing ethanol free gets you is slightly better mileage.

That add in chemical does not remove the ethanol... It just stabilizes it. If you ride a lot or go through a tank every few weeks, ethanol isn't going to cause you any grief.

:gaah:....iT'S ACTUALLY MORE IMPORTANT TO GET IT OUT OR NEUTRALIZE IT IN SMALL ENGINES THAN IT IS IN YOUR CAR........Ford GM Chry BMW VW etc. have the bucks to engineer there auto's to combat the Ethanol......small manufacturers don't so their engines suffer sooner .....lots sooner .....Mikeguyver

THIS... I can't tell you how many times I've had to pull the carb on my lawn mower to replace the fuel pump bladder due to ethanol... and that is with adding stabilizer and winterizing each year. I need to do this sometimes once a year, but generally every two seasons.. Finally found a source for ethanol free gas near the house so this season I've run nothing but that.

I have the same problem with the fuel pump diaphram on the Onan gen set for our motorhome. If only these small engine manufacturs could switch to soft good compatible with ethanol.

Strangly, our current lawn mower with an 11hp briggs on it has not had this problem (yet) in 6 yrs. Maybe some are converting.
