• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Engine won't start

I have a '13 Spyder RTS that has suddenly decided not to start. Fortunately it is in my garage. I have an SE5 model. When I go to push mode start and step on the break, I get NOTHING. I have gone through the pre start several times waiting up to 1 minute before hitting the starter. I don't know what to do with it. The spider has full power going to it as it always has before when I started it up. What I do find different is that when I hit the mode button the computer will jump to the next mode.

Has anyone had this happen to them? Any idea as to what to do? As I said above, I called the dealer and went through the same start up procedure with them already.

Any advice would be helpful before I have it towed into the shop.

Have you checked the engine shut off switch. I inadvertently hit mine when I got off the bike and it to me a while to figure out why mine wouldn't start.

Have to agree..!!

With checking the kill switch. Battery should be good but never rule it out, if possible check the voltage must be over 12.7 volts to start but you would hear a click when pressing the start button. If you hear nothing your not pressing the brake or the kill switch is of or in gear. Let us know...:gaah:

Since the bike isn't allowing you to start it up...
When you get to where you'd hit the mode button:
lay your thumb across both "Mode", and "Set" at the same time... hold them down together.
Then; push in the turnsignal switch (just like cancelling a signal...)

I'm not 100% sure that it'll work with what your bike is doing; but it's worth a shot!
Any active codes should pop up on the main screen.
:lecturef_smilie: WRITE THEM DOWN...
Here's a source for finding out what they mean...
