• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Elka Shocks thoughts after riding for a while?

clueless

ok guys a few of you have the new 300 lb springs in on the Elka shocks.

whats you overall thoughts now that you put a few hundred miles on them? do it again?

also did the new shocks affect the head light alignment now that the spyder front sits higher then stock?

I just got back from a 120 mile run on the highway and I love them. Most of my riding is in the twisties so this was the first real run at 80+ and they really help you stay on track.

Haven't checked my headlight but it's easy to adjust if need be.

Just got my springs, haven't installed them yet, hopefully by tomorrow. Problem is Dr. won't let me ride for another 10 days. I have a torn Retina so not much activity allowed, I'm even going to miss the Bar-B-Q:gaah:
I will report on the ride as soon as I can, I know that the shocks work really well, I've got a lot of preload on the 250 springs and it still rides smooth.

Elkas

I would definitely do it again. Running the Elka 1 way and the 300 lb spring in the front. And I am probably going to upgrade to the 3 way in the front pretty soon. I am still waiting on my 3 way for the rear. Any day now...

We're just back from our first 1200 mile road trip on the RT. What a blast! :2thumbs:
Our wish list now includes shocks, probably the new Elkas, so we're looking forward to the feedback on this thread......
