• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

ELECTRIC SPYD3R

Article from 2011...I always liked the idea of that one, but starting to think it is vaporware...

We have had a few threads. See Hybrid Spyder. Most think that the item shown is a mock up without engine. Never heard of one being driven or tested--unless Lamonster knows something we don't. :roflblack:

Based on the current price of electric vehicles--I would say $40K to $50K, if it comes on the market for sale.

Chris56 was sort of keeeping an eye on news in Europe about these...
...and he's been silent...
BRP may have been locking down patents on technology for a later date, and using this "bike" to gain publicity for them...

Time will tell!

This thing has been rumored to be coming for so long, that I have gotten excited, forgotten about it, remembered & gotten excited again, then forgotten several times over the last couple of years or so. I know BRP is really good at keeping things under wraps, but all I have ever seen is the same pic year after year. I want a shot of it on the Tail of the Dragon before I get excited again...

On the other hand, the fact that it has been in development for so long has me thinking BRP is trying to do it right the 1st time, rather than release it on a pre-designated release date whether or not it is ready to be released (as other manufacturers have done).
