• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

DPS recall

Why won't BRP provide DPS units to the dealers that have a long list of customers waiting for the replacement. I have spoken to Carlos and I am very frustrated. The dealer in Palm Springs has 9 customers on his waiting list which he will do first before he will do the 5 of us who did not purchase our spyders from him. He blames BRP policy. He can do 2 replacements at a time and then must wait while the old units are returned to BRP before he will receive new units from them. He now states that it will be after Christmas before he might get to mine. Since this is a safety recall and my syder is acting up now it seems they are waiting for an accident to happen and then a lawsuit before they change their thinking. I am afraid to ride mine on the freeway because of the sudden swerving problem. Is anyone else having trouble getting the work done?

There are a lot of us in the same situation and getting the same explanation from our dealers. I also got a message from Carlo saying the same thing. Unfortunately, you are having problems with yours. You might send Carlo an email explaining your situation. Maybe he can do something.
I haven't had any problems with mine so I will just wait my turn.

I am in the same boat with our 2 Spyders, as the dealer I purchased from went out of business. It looks like it will be after the 1st of the year before ours get taken care of. Unlike you however, we are not currently having any issues with ours. If we were, then I would begin pushing a whole lot harder to get them taken care of.

Best of luck.

I did contact Carlo again and also spoke to him on the telephone. He was very smooth but unwilling to provide much help. Told me to contact the dealer and explain the problem again. I did that yesterday. Service tech said " sorry, we must take care of the machines purchased here first". :cus:

Thats all the dealers choice. Here in Fl, at the dealer many of us use, they have been very helpful and have replaced more dps units on spyders purchased from other dealers than ones from thier original customers. They do it on a 1st come 1st serve basis. West Coast Powersports has been great for many people on the board.

I would look into another dealer if you have one close enough.
