• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Nice....but

Lamontster garage just posted a thread that they just got them back in stock...guess they are going like hotcakes... good luck with the sale...I like the sheath thingy...

i kinda like the brp "stupid thingy" it stops the key digging into your leg or pocket and it has a attachment point built in.just my thoughts.

I agree!! I've never understood why someone would drill a hole in the key when the sleeve it comes with already has a hole to attach to a key ring. For me, the BRP sleeve works perfectly - put the sleeve on a key ring, slip the key out to use it, slip it back in when you're done. This way, there is nothing else attached to the key when it is in the ignition. I consider BRP's key sleeve to be a very clever innovation.

+1! I don't want any other "stuff" dangling off my key when riding and possibly scratching the paint on my expensive Tri-Axis bars.

The BRP sheath works for me. When my key is in the ignition I don't want anything dangling that might scratch the paint on my fuel tank.

I've always drilled my keys: ever since Lamont posted a video about it years ago! :D
I just put a simple ring through the key, and can then attach it to a clip that I keep on my belt during the riding Season.
With BRP's sheath: everything hangs that much lower, and gets "clunked around" a lot more.

The keyring actually simplifies and streamlines what I've got attached to my hip.

BRP Sheath?

Can someone post a photo of this BRP thingee? I dont think i got any key stuff with my RTL. Just 2 keys.

thanks!

the first picture is the "thingy" or sheath to hold the keys. The second picture shows how the key is held. They actually work pretty good.

Key 2014 and newer

Dealer said this has changed. Newer Spyders DO NOT come with the Lanyards. :dontknow::dontknow: Maybe an UP CHARGE now.:banghead:
