• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Does your local group function at all ?

They're starting one here in Arizona and I got tapped to be Secretary. Once we get it going, I may take a ride to the coast and pick a few brains, if that's ok.

Pam

I was wondering if we were going to have to address you as Madame President or Madame Secretary. Guess we know now.

Great

Our SRA chapter functions great. We have over 100 members and we meet once a month for a business meeting. We have at least 1 group Ryde each week and sometimes more. We are doing over nights, SITR and you name it. we have a new member Ryde each month so new Ryder's can get used to their bikes, and we Ryde every week of the year. Of course we are in California and we can do that.

One thing I think that helps is to work with a National organization like SRA, it provides the necessary structure to get the group started and keep it together! You might want to contact Ken Miller at SRA to see what you need to do to get your group to get organized, and committed!

Coz do you have a group of riders? Central KY here. I've never actually seen many riders around KY. I feel the failure is most don't know about SpyderLovers and the amount of Spyders are low due to income.

:roflblack:Haven't met most of them. I believe you are a member of our group.:roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:

You know to be honest I think some of the failure is that I didn't even know there were groups here! I just looked and there were rides and stuff posted. Seems like the groups section is hidden!

You might try Gold wing clubs, so are good other do not want anything but a wing.

We have a decent group here. It is a lot of work planning rides and if left to just one person they will get burned out quickly. We have a dealer who provides us with a place to meet and even provides coffee and donuts each month.

I'd say if you are involved in the group great and if not then don't complain.

Here can't get Ride Now to even work up a list of Spyder owners so we could put something together on our own. Went to the Victory dealer and suggested that they do it, and to buy a BUDs system and start working on them. They are thinking pretty positive on the "get togethers".

Hampton Road Spyder Group

I would hope that all the groups would get together at least occasionally but it may be that some just don't like to ride with a lot of people.

Anyway the Hampton Road Spyder Group is inactive too. I have reached out to people but have not gotten any real responses. It does not stop me from riding so I'm happy. I think it helps when a Spyder dealer plays a roll in getting riders together. I have tried speaking with a local dealer but he had no interest in arranging a spyder ride.

I too found that the GoldWing club is organized and fun. There are 3 Spyders in the club. I even ended up the web master and newsletter editor.:yes::yes:

SCRC

National organization anything from Harleys to crotch rockets......and Spyders. We have about 6 Spyders.
Chapter #62 in Augusta, GA. On Delphi Forums The biggest use lately has been the forum page. A good clearing house for ride and events information. Got a core of people that ride regular but new members just about every day. A lot of active and retired military.

A dealer organized Spyder ride would be cool in Hampton Roads.

Been contacted a few times for rides, but always conflicting schedules. :(
