Does the fix for mirror vibration work on a 2022 Spyder RTL ?

I keep reading about fixes for the mirror vibration problem. But does it apply to the 2022? Most say 20/21 models. I haven't been able to ride mine yet as I'm awaiting a hip replacement.

Thanks

You should be fine. BRP had a fix for the problem that modified the mirror mounts in 2020 and early 2021. The newer models should have the new design mounts from the factory.
I hope you recover well and ride strong.

having put 1163 miles on my 22 i'm gonna have to say NO my left mirror shakes like a leaf on a tree in a hurricane.
my right one is rock solid.
i spoke with the service department and the dealer and was asked if i could put up with it until the first service at 3K
miles. ( they are booked 5 weeks out)
i told them it was not a problem to wait.

Wow…….that’s interesting, Slice, since BRP claim they addressed that issue from late 2021 builds on. It would be great to get some feedback as to what was corrected when you get it back from your dealer (if you trust your dealer to tell you the truth.;) )

i think i'll have to trust them seeing their the only dealer in this area that has gotten decent reviews, otherwise i would have to travel
100 plus miles.
so far i have not had any issues dealing with them... other than the outrageous price for B.E.S.T. that i passed on

On my '22 RTL , about 1,600 miles on it. My left mirror shakes bad too. The right mirror barely shakes at all. Have other things for dealer to fix when it goes in for 1st service.

You do know that (unless they changed them after the 2020 model) the cover just pops off don't you? It's very easy to remove and see what's going on.

:agree: You'll waste more time and money by getting your dealer to fix it and I highly doubt that it will be as good as LaMonsters. Easy Peasy self repair.

On my '21 RT, the left mirror shook like crazy. I bought the supports from slingmods and have not had an issue since. If BRP's claim is that they fixed the problem, I can tell you firsthand, they did not.

Do you have a later built ‘21, QuickDraw ? I.e. built in early ‘21 rather than in ‘20? ……. Mind you, since ‘22 owners are seeing the issue, I believe BRP may be “fibbing” to us. ;)

My '21 was built before Sept. 2020. Bought it in August of 2020 in fact. I was told it had the improved design but maybe not.

Yeah, if mirrors are still vibrating on ‘22 builds, you really wonder what the real story is, QuickDraw. As my local wrench (4 hours away) says. ‘BRP will not come clean on anything…..even to authorised BRP wrenches….never have, never will…..it’s their mindset”…….and this is from someone who has been working on Spyders from the beginning.:dontknow:

I had removed my right mirror cover and mirror a couple of times doing research prior to installing my led blinker reminders in the dash. Shortly thereafter my right mirror shook pretty bad. The left one was always rock solid. BRP's supposed upgrade is a joke. I didn't mess with the BRP dealer installed fix that costs $80. I installed LaMonster's $25 kit and they are rock solid now. It is a 30 minute install and that is taking your time. Just install them and be done with it.

Like FrogmanDave, my mirrors on my 22 were good until I removed the left one a couple times. It started shaking after that. I have LaMonster's fix on the way.

Like many above, my 2021 RTL needed the fix right after delivery! LaMonster kit was a cheap and easy fix! Mirrors do not shack at all. My suggestion is use LaMonster kit, skip the deal fix and the time involved, more time to get some rides in before weather really gets cold!
