• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Does anyone know what this wired-in gizmo might be? 2012 RT

This is in the trunk of my 2012 RT Limited. I have no clue what it is. Can anyone tell me what it might be?

The only thing I can find, or rather not find on the electrical layout for cargo is this part:

Ref:
R1
710002069
RESISTOR

Not saying it is :dontknow: but my suspicion is strong.

If it's adjustable, I'll go with the rear speakers, or the Helmet headset communications gain adjustment. Is it wired to the auxiliary audio port there shown in the picture in the background? You used to plug in your old phones there, so you could play them over the aux audio selection on the audio screen up front.

It certainly does look as tho it's 'adjustable' in the pic, the white square sorta looks like it's 'small screw-driver adjustable potentiometer' or similar, but it's pretty hard to tell from just that pic alone!

Can you take & post up a few more pics?? An angled side-on pic maybe, so we can see how high that little white 'pot-like' device sticks up & what exactly it is in the middle of it; plus at least one of the other side of the pic you've already posted, so we can see what's on the flip-side of that block, and how many wires go to it?? It's not something that'd clip into the underside of the 'dash' switch panel is it?? Or a 'dimmer' or 'colour selector' for any a/mkt LED lights that may be or have been fitted?? :dontknow:

Just guessin' here - really need something more to go on! :spyder:

What kind of added on stuff do you have on this thing? Because, I am with Peter, that's an adjustable potentiometer of some sort on that thing. What direction do the wires go and what's it plugged into?

That is the strobe pattern module for a Custom Dynamics Magic Strobes Brake Flasher that is no longer sold by CD for 2010 - 2017 RTs. The picture shows the 9 available flashing patterns. PM me your regular email address and I will send you the installation instructions. I mounted my module to the right rear corner of the trunk to ensure it is out of the way and can't be damaged.
